To be told aims at developing a diffuse awareness of belonging to Europe, through the creation of an actual network between citizens expressing minority groups within the European Union, by making them share their stories and memories. Twenty citizens from Europe, witnesses of stories and assets at risk of disappearance, participate in a workshop in Florence (16-24 march 2012) in order to narrate and share their stories and translate them in other expressions (drama, dance, photo, video, novel...). All collected materials will be made available on this on-line platform, open to further updating and implementation by the participants, a tool for disseminating Europe-wide a deeper awareness on the entitlement to citizenship.
To be told is a project conceived and coordinated by Pietro Gaglianò and managed by Marina Bistolfi, Associazione Fabbrica Europa, with the support of the Lifelong Learning Programme - Grundtvig of the European Union.
We wish to thank Arci Firenze for the use of the inspiring workshop venue Exfila connessioni metropolitane, and Emanuela Baldi and Caterina Poggesi for their valuable collaboration in facilitating the start up of the work.
